There's a maximum number of characters that can be in the file name or the file wont show up. The max number is I think 35.

Does anyone know what to do if the phone shows the songs that are saved on the mini sd and allows you to choose one of them to play, but it then it doesn't actually play the song? I know it's not a problem with the phone because the phone will play the songs saved on a mini sd demo card at the Verizon Wireless store.

DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM CALLED BITPIM AND CLICK ON ADD RINGER THEN CONVERT IT THEN CLICK OK. AFTER THAT CLICK ON SEND PHONE DATA AND MAKE SURE YOUR USB CABLE IS PLUGGED IN. THATS IT. NOW YOU HAVE YOUR RINGTONES IN YOUR GET TUNES->MY RINGTONES FOLDER ^_^

The songs are stored on the card. That's the way the phone plays the songs.

when i get into the hidden menu, then i go to move apps, then i choosse applications, and move to fun, favorites, or work, none of them work! i htink i have the older version because it only has the player in the hidden menu. but i dont want to go to the store and have them do it cuz im too lazy. So is there a successful way in moving it to fun and games or something?

No. The songs played are referenced via the song list on the card. That is the way the phone is programmed. You need the songs stored on the card.

actually, you can put mp3's in the 16452/mf folder with no card. before doing so, though, you must have taken at least one video (i'm pretty sure.)
