Open your network connections on your PC, and create new connection. Name it "Verizon" or whatever. Select to use the LGE CDMA Diagnostic port, or whatever yours is named. Enter the phone number to dial as "#777", less the quotes. I use username and password "vzw" and it works fine for me, although I've seen a handful of other username suggestions (i.e., "yournumber@vzw3g.com", "yournumber@vzw.com", etc). |

Hold the camera button on the right side of the phone until the camera mode starts (about 2-3 seconds). Then after the Please Wait disappears, tap the microphone button along the left side to turn on the pre-flash. I use it all the time, just wish it were quicker to get it going! Note: The light will only stay on for about a minute
or so if you don't take a picture. |

Step 1: It should work that way. The proxy servers are kind of 'fickle' you might have to select a few before you get one that actually works, and change the monthly. Alternatively, you can use NowWap (download it here ) and set up your own WAP server if you have broadband, and you can access it for free that way. Your address would be your computers IP address. There are tutorials for that software all around the board, at yahoo groups, and at http://www.mp3ringtones4u.com. Also, you can find several other cool wap sites (again search the forums) and set them all up as links on a homepage you create at www.tagtag.com or www.winksite.com. You would then set the homepage on your phone to the url of the site you create at those locations. |

Using QuickTime it was simple to convert a bunch of Family Guy episodes I had (mpeg4) to 3g2 format. I transferred the files to my mini SD card using a reader hooked up to my Mac and just put them in the MY FLIX folder. The videos play and look great on the phone. Each episode (about 20 minutes) was about 11MB so you can fit quite a lot of video on a 256MB card. The videos I have of the Family Guy (I dowloaded them somewhere a while ago, don't remember where) are mp4 320x240 and about 50MB. I use QuickTime Pro 7.1 (the latest) and I choose the EXPORT option.
FILE FORMAT: 3GPP2 |
